Undying Yearning is a project that peers into the past of an "All-America City" to understand how and why Winston-Salem's Black institutions thrived. There was a nurturing that took place within places like "Katie B." and the "Big Four." What was at the heart of these institutions? Through interviews, community discussions, and visual and performing arts, Undying Yearning aims to interrogate this inquiry.
