Remembering the Times is a sensory object and experience by Sauda Mitchell that invites viewers to rethink cultural memory. The images feature gelli plate prints and collage art created by participants from the Undying Yearning project. The text was written in response to imaginative future engagement with the past. It ends with a writing prompt encouraging us to write our own story.

Sauda Mitchell is a certified archivist, a Booklyn artist, and a scholarly practitioner from Winston-Salem, North Carolina. At the intersection of archival research, technology, and materiality, she designs artists' books to celebrate and preserve Black cultural memory. With over a decade of experience in archival repositories, she holds a BA in Visual Communication from the Savannah College of Art and Design with a minor in Art History and an MLIS in Archives Management from Drexel University. Sauda is an Ed.D. student in Drexel University's Education and Leadership program, focusing on creativity and innovation. Sauda's artists' books are held in select permanent collections, including the Wake Forest University ZSR Library, the SCAD Museum of Art, MIT, Harvard University, Ohio University, the Smithsonian Libraries, and the Library of Congress.
