Class of 1970

After a 47-year career in the field, Salisbury native Amanda A. Griffin knows well the impact one can have by being a nurse. The 1970 graduate of Kate Bitting Reynolds Memorial Hospital School of Nursing said the empathy she learned at Katie B. was something she poured into her patients: "I think I took that into my profession, being compassionate for those I cared for." Allen noted the preparation Katie B. provided, something she and fellow alumni often discuss, sharing "[Katie B.] gave me the ability to go out and perform my job to the best of my ability."
